"No Small Parts!" Pop-up theater for Kids! with Megan Reynolds, Hibbing High School Drama Director
August 12-16th, 2024 @ Lincoln Auditorium
Experience the thrill of theater! Want to learn to pretend you're someone else and perform on the stage? Here's your chance! Spend a week this summer at the Lincoln Elementary School Auditorium and learn how to put on a play, with YOU as the star actor! Taught by Shelly Hansen of Minnesota North College and HHS Drama Director Megan Reynolds, assisted by HHS theater students, this workshop for young theater lovers will have opportunities for kids to learn beginning performance skills and the basics of play-making.
Grades 1-3 will play theater games, sing songs and create a short performance. Grades 4-7 will work with a script and put on a short play in just 5 days! (Grades 4-7 should bring a lunch with them to the theater each day during our break.) The week will culminate with a performance by both sessions on Friday, August 16th at 1:30PM in the Lincoln Auditorium.
Scholarships are available thru Hibbing Community Education. Contact us at 218-208-0852 for more information.
