Unlock your child’s potential with our wide array of after-school and out-of-school time opportunities! Community Education Youth Enrichment programs offer engaging classes and recreational experiences designed to spark curiosity and build new skills.

Explore a diverse selection of activities including karate, youth theater, art classes, Dungeons & Dragons, yoga, orchestra, and more. We also offer specialized programs such as classroom Driver’s Training, Firearms Safety, and College for Kids in the summer.

  • Theater

    "No Small Parts!" Pop-up theater for Kids! with Megan Reynolds, Hibbing High School Drama Director & Shelly Hanson, Minnesota North College Instructor August 18-22, 2025 @ Lincoln Auditorium Experience the thrill of theater! Want to learn to pretend you're someone else and perform on the stage? Here's your chance! Spend a week this summer at the Lincoln Middle School Auditorium and learn how to put on a play, with YOU as the star actor! Taught by Shelly Hanson Minnesota North College and HHS Drama Director Megan Reynolds, assisted by HHS theater students, this workshop for young theater lovers will have opportunities for kids to learn beginning performance skills and the basics of play-making. Grades 1-3 will play theater games, sing songs, and create a short performance. Grades 4-7 will work with a script and put on a short play in just 5 days! (Grades 4-7 should bring a lunch with them to the theater each day during our break.) The week will culminate with a presentation by both sessions on Friday, August 22nd at 2pm in the Lincoln Auditorium 9-10am for students entering grades 1st-3rd 10:30-2pm for students entering grades 4th - 7th Scholarships are available thru Hibbing Community Education.   • Jr Color Guard

    Girls & Boys (6-8th Grade) Color Guard Camp 2025 Come have some fun with the Bluejacket Color Guard. You will learn basic flag moves which will then be incorporated with the marching band songs. Camp is for students in 6th-8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. A flag, flagpole and t-shirt will be included in the camp fee! Practice Dates: Sept. 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25th with a game on Sept. 26th @ Cheever Field @ 6:30pm Time: 3-4:30pm Location: Lincoln Elementary- First day meet in the Lincoln band hallway. Practices will be held outside. Weather permitting you will meet in the cafeteria for practices. Cost: $30, Scholarships available. Please contact Hibbing Community Education for more information. Coaches- Christina Majerle-Whiteside (5th grade Lincoln teacher) & Sabrina Felten (Flagline Instructor Hibbing High School). Helpers will be the High School Colorguard members. ---- Homecoming Performance Information ---- A performance will be held before the game and at half-time at the High School Football Field (Ben Owens Stadium/Cheever Field) on Friday, Sept 26th. Arrive at 6:30 pm to practice and get lined up. Game starts at 7pm. Students and parents are to sit next to the Band area until it's their time to perform as the football team enters the field and the school song is played in the beginning. Then go back to the area of seating again until performance at halftime with the band. Adult must accompany child at the performance. Adult fee is $7 and students are $5 Performance Attire- Dark pants, tennis shoes and a sponsored t-shirt (which will be provided)
