Hibbing Community Education offers Adult Aquatics Opportunities. Ages 14-17 are also welcomed, but they will need to know someone in the class to sign up with. Please contact Alex Hanson if you would like to register for or as a 14-17 year old. 


Lap Swim

Your pace. Your workout. Your lane.

Lane swimming offers a structured and focused environment for swimmers looking to train, exercise, or simply enjoy a peaceful swim. Whether you're working on endurance, technique, or just looking for a low-impact workout, lane swimming is perfect for all levels. Swim at your own pace and make every stroke count!

***PM Lap Swim has limited spots available as the pool is regularly shared at night with youth lessons, diving, and the area swim club.***

Water Walking

Gentle movement. Powerful results.

Water Walking is a low-impact, full-body workout done in the shallow end of the pool. Using the natural resistance of water, this activity helps improve balance, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health—all while being easy on the joints. It’s perfect for beginners, active older adults, or anyone looking for a refreshing and effective way to stay fit.

Aqua Zumba

Dance. Splash. Smile.

Aqua Zumba blends the fun of Latin-inspired dance with the refreshing energy of the pool! This low-impact, high-energy workout combines cardio, toning, and water resistance for a full-body party that’s easy on the joints and big on fun. Perfect for all fitness levels—no dance experience needed! Just bring your energy and let the music move you.

Aqua Pilates

 Core strength meets the calming power of water.

 Aqua Pilates is a low-impact, core-strengthening workout performed in the water. This gentle yet effective class blends the principles of Pilates - like controlled movement, breath work, and alignment - with the natural resistance and support off water. Ideal for improving posture, flexibility, and balance, Aqua Pilates helps you tone muscles, relieve tension, and move with greater ease - all without stressing your joints. Perfect for all fitness levels, especially those looking for a mindful, full-body workout in a soothing aquatic environment.

Water Aerobics

Low-impact, high-energy fitness in the water!

Water Aerobics is a fun, full-body workout set to music that combines cardio, strength training, and stretching—all while being gentle on your joints. Perfect for all fitness levels, this class is great for those looking to stay active, improve mobility, and enjoy the benefits of exercise in a supportive aquatic environment. The natural resistance and buoyancy of the water allows swimmers to burn many calories per hour. Come move, splash, and feel great!


Registration Cost Breakdown (Effective June 2026)

Lap Swim: Full Month - $2.00/hour ($3.00/day)

Three Days/Week - $2.50/hour ($3.75/day)

Two Days/Week -  $3.00/hour ($4.50/day)

Water Walking: Full Month - $2.00/hour

Three Days/Week - $2.50/hour

Two Days/Week - $3.00/hour

Water Aerobics/Aqua Zumba/Aqua Pilates

Once a week: $10/class  

Drop-in rate: $12/class

Monthly Rate: approximately $8 per class
