Early Childhood & Family Education
Early Childhood Screening is recommended at age 3 and required for all children before they enter kindergarten. Screening includes a quick check of a child's development, hearing and vision screening, height & weight and social emotional development.
The goal of our preschool programs are to help preschoolers enter school with the skills and behaviors necessary to be successful in future learning.
Programs for youth Birth-18
Karate, Pickleball, Massage
Provides opportunities for youth to learn new concepts and develop skills in a variety of topic areas.
Provides fun accessible, and positive youth sports experiences by emphasizing fundamentals and the spirit of the game, as well as, sportsmanship, personal development, and athletic growth.
Classes for Children 2 to 5 years old
Courses for families with a child - newborn to 1 year old - No separating
Intermezzo Class for Intermediate Youth Players: Monday's 5:30-6:30pm
Class is geared for students grades 4th through 8th who have played at least one year and know how to hold the bow & instrument, have learned some simple songs by ear or by reading, can identify notes on the staff, know their notes in first position on the fingerboard, have learned through page 27 in Essential Elements Book 1, can play a D major scale, and have been recommended by their string teacher. Students will continue learning in the Essential Elements for Strings lesson book, the Suzuki book, and pieces for the group to play together. We will be getting ready to perform in the concert on Monday, December 2nd at 7pm.
In addition to registering here for this class, students are also required to enroll in weekly lessons ($20/lesson with a range in price up to $35/lesson for master teacher) through Crescendo at https://cyo.mymusicstaff.com Students will need to register for this class again in January to participate for the remainder of the year. If the student takes private lessons from a teacher not affiliated with the Crescendo program you need to discuss this with the director and get permission to register for register without Crescendo lessons.
All practices will be held at the Crescendo Studio located 214 E Howard Street, Hibbing, MN
Students 9th - 12th grade should register through the Adult High School / Community Orchestra class for the Fall session.
Weekly rehearsals on Mondays starting September 9th through November 18th with a Concert on December 2nd at the Hibbing High School Auditorium at 7pm.
